Boston Pays Photographer $170,000 To Settle Arrest Suit

As Simon Glick shot video of Boston police using excessive force to arrest a man on the Boston Commons, police turned on him. Even though his charges were dropped, Glick's federal lawsuit claimed Boston police violated his civil rights. Police at first claimed they did nothing wrong; today Boston settled with Glick for $170,000.

Jordan Stead is a photojournalist and recent graduate from Western Washington University with a major in visual journalism and a minor in environmental studies.
